What age groups are eligible to join?
We welcome young players aged 6-10 in our mini shuttlers sessions. Our squads tend to include players from ages 9-18. We have an under 12 squad, an under 14 squad, an under 16 squad, and an under 18 squad. We also have a Shires Squad for our more experienced players.
How can I register my child for a trial session?
To register your child for a trial session, please email devonjuniorsecretary@gmail.com. The secretary will then send you any information that is require.
Are there any membership fees?
Yes, there is an annual membership fee which covers training sessions for the season. For 2024-2025, this fee was £180, which included 12 training sessions. The summer sessions are £15 a session. Match fees are £10 a match.
What equipment is required?
Players should have their own badminton racket and appropriate sports attire. We can provide rackets for our mini shuttlers. Shuttlecocks are provided during training.
What is the selection process for matches?
Selection is completed by coaches based on performance during training sessions and matches. Attendance, commitment and conduct are also carefully considered.
